Create a scheduling system which will manage state of physical devices connected to the system.

solution

As a solution for this quite complicated task we have build a system with the following componenets: Storing the switching states in BC webapps and maintaining a CRM with a booking calendar system for the secure, automatic activation/deactivation of lights in nominated locations for authorised users. PHP server, responsible for the server logic (processing the queries for activating/deactivating the lights, automatic triggering of the devices (controllers), CRM management by roles (booking officer, master account, customer, etc) Gmail account (used through Gmail API) in order to send and receive emails to the SMS-to-Email service. Switches (devices or systems) - activate/deactivate the lights, depending on the command sent via a formatted SMS.

Result

The CTS/Fieldmouse* project is the largest that Code Production have developed using BC, it shows the variety of possibilities for integrating BC with third party services.

The main goal was to convert client's visuals (PSD files) into a perfect, dynamic and responsive BC-based website as soon as it was possible

We have created the website even faster than it was need and moreover, it is perfect in it's functionality and responsiveness.

If the mobile version of the site is not showing up on a specific phone model, there is an easy way to troubleshoot this. Test what the tag {system_visitorDeviceClass} outputs for this device. Set up a new empty page on your site that would just contain the {system_visitorDeviceClass} tag. Then try to access that page from the device that shows the issue. The tag should generate either desktop, tablet or phone. Another possible mistake might be that the page with the redirect code is not set as a start page. Make sure to include device detection functionality consistently throughout the website
